    It's kind of sad to have to quit contraceptive pills to know if we are already going through menopause. I have a love/hate relationship with my contraceptives, because they have made my life wonderful when my ob/gyn allowed me to go for months taking them non stop to avoid terrible dysmenorrhea I had endured since my menarche ar 11 yo, best years of my life were the ones without periods. But for a whole different reason I gained excessive weight, because of a misdiagnosis and a horrible drug prescribed to me called olanzapine. I gained 15 kg and got insulin resistance. I didn't know that what I was told was "pear shaped body" was actually a condition called lipoedema until this event, when the lipedema developed on my upper arms. Too much hormones. Now I'm looking forward to my menopause, besides I have endometriosis. That's why the "no menatruation" allowed by my gyn. I'm childfree and currently single, not dating. But in a country where abortion is illegal, despite the law saying it is allowed in rape cases, it terrifies me anyways. I don't think something like that would happen to me at this point in my life, but one is never sure enough, safe enough. I have a retroverted uterus and I want all this to soon stop. I will never going to use my uterus so all I want is menopause.

      @@cyndijohnson5473 You have my sympathies for the menopause issue; however, the views on hrt for cis women are changing as studies reveal that the health fears about hrt are overblown, while the health benefits have been understated. In time, most doctors will become aware of the studies that demonstrate this. I'll give you some background on me. When it comes to chromosomes I'm x,x, just like you. A single gene on my fathers Y chromosome (sry something or other) got copied onto one of my x chromosomes, and that caused a male body minus any reproductive capacity to emerge. Nearly all trans people masculine or feminine have a gene variation or several that combine to form a brain that doesn't quite fit the body, if it does at all. Biology isn't as simple as you learned in high school or from all the internet bs floating around. So please, please, be more polite to people who are just trying to make the best of a life that was already messed up before we were even born.

    The mental health is no indicator of anything objective. The trans might be happier because they are doing what they want. So what? The physical risks are substantial. You’re using the mental health to distract and minimize the stroke risks. You’re a biased agent and should be put in prison. A criminal!!

    I started HRT at 50 and after a few years I'm having a lot of difficulty dealing with doctors here in Canada. They only asked me what my goals were when I started my transition journey, which have changed more than once since, and only seem to care about my levels. Despite going through my second puberty now they think I need to be treated as though I am menopausal, only thinking about my age but never seeing me. They do not take into consideration my overall health ~ and I am very healthy, eat a great whole foods diet, exercise regularly and do not smoke. What's worse, they have never contemplated the impact of their heavy handedness on my mental health, which has be strained by their actions more than any other thing in my life during my transition... and I was living in Florida lol. I luckily do get alternative care in the US, much to their chagrin when I return to Canada, and it comes at a great cost, which I am grateful I can afford (though I am really not happy about it). This was a great talk to listen to, it confirmed many of the thoughts I've had regarding how poor my interactions have been, as well as my disgust regarding the lack of knowledge and care the healthcare system can have towards its trans patients.

      If you are taking bioidentical estradiol and bioidentical progesterone the risks are lower than older forms of these meds as mentioned in the video. It will take a few years for most doctors to catch on to this. The menopause society recently released the results of a large study of cis women taking hrt past age 65 vs women the same age not taking hrt, and the difference was very noticeable. The women taking hrt were undeniably in better health and less likely to die of any cause. This to will take time to percolate. A lot of doctors are quite the nervous Nellies, when it comes to prescribing, but that is what we are paying them to do. If you suffer gender dysphoria that is probably a more serious risk factor than all the stuff around hormones put together, and the risk from dysphoria isn't just depression/suicide, the stress can affect overall health, mental and physical in so many ways.

    • @ajasen
      @ajasen 25 дней назад

      two ways to look at it (q) trans feminine can be either (so it's the umbrella category... trans woman is someone with a binary identity as a woman, trans non binary is someone who feels aligned with aspects of both or no gender or in-between). The other way is that trans feminine refers more to gender , trans woman to both sex and gender, and trans nonbinary could also be both sex and gender. The terms overlap and can be interchangeable. and of course trans nonbinary (without specifying trans feminine or AMAB or mtf) can be going in an ftm (afab) direction.

    There needs to be a realization that bottom surgery removes virtually all of your sexual hormones. I am fortunate thto have a doctor that realized my bone loss was attributable to having essentially zero testosterone and estradiol for years. Patches are not the solution as insurance companies will not pay if you require multiple patches due to poor skin absorption. They think it caused my heart damage. I know get hormones implanted and they are both testosterone and estradiol as my bones had severely degraded in all those years. Why is nobody talking about this? Surely I can't be the only one.

    How to get saved and be right with God who loves us for eternal life! As anyone can get saved, if they make the choice to do so! 1-Realize that all have sinned before God in one way or another. Romans 3: 10-12+23 (KJB) 10. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" 11."There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." 12."They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." 23. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 2-Realize that God loved us, even as wicked sinners, enough to allow Jesus Christ to shed his blood on the cross to pay the price for our sins Romans 5: 8-9+12 (KJB) 8. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." 9."Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." 12. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all that have sinned:” 3 -To be saved, you just need to confess unto God and ask him to save you, by accepting Jesus Christ paying the price for your sins, all in order to receive this freely given gift of forgiveness. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 (KJB) 1."Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2."By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 3."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” 4."And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Romans 10: 9-10+13 (KJB) 9. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 10."For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 13."For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Hebrews 9: 27-28 (KJB) 27."And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" 28."So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Revelation 21: 8 (KJB) "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Romans 6: 23 (KJB) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Lastly, an example of what to genuinely say to God in prayer to get saved and fully forgiven of all your sins.) “Dear God, I am a sinner and need saving. I know I’m not good enough to get to heaven and I need you to save me. I need the righteousness of your son, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus is the Lord, who died, was buried and resurrected so that his precious blood can wash away my sins. I trust in him alone to save me. Nothing else. Not my good works or anything else. Only Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

    Thank you for this video 🙏 I’m ftm transgender & have recently come off testosterone due to losing my hair. Coming off T has been horrendous… like an early menopause. More research & more funding for older transgender people is so important 👍

    FDA has proven itself to be completely not trust worthy. It exists to protect and promote the incestuous economic interests of foods and drugs at the expense of consumers and patients. FDA not to be trusted and is no reassurance if safety, purity, nor efficacy. Probably people are better off doung the opposite of FDA advice and CDC "guidance."
